Session Objectives

1. Discuss definitions and risk factors relevant to intimate partner violence. 
2. Identify appropriate approaches to intimate partner violence in a clinical setting.
3. Develop understanding for treating and managing patients who are victims of intimate partner violence.
4. Establish understanding of mandatory reporting requirements for domestic and intimate partner violence.

The North Carolina Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
