The exact same feeling occurred when I lay next to my wife in the early 2010s. Samuel was our first child. It was Sunday morning. This was the only time I could get any sleep in. I was so over it. I wanted to be able to connect with my family and go online.
You see, I was a Carpenter at the time. Unmotivated, I woke up at 4:30am every day, and drove 1.5 hours to get to work. There, I would spend 10 hours.-Drive home after 12 hours of hard work, have dinner, and go to bed at 9 in order to get up the next morning.
I was drowning in debt, struggling to make ends met, and stressed.
I was supposed support my family. Instead, I felt like a failure. It was horrible. With all the fast food and lack of exercise while on the road, my health was in shambles. My son was born with a very short time frame before he would go to bed for the night. This was not how I wanted to live. My family was dependent on me, and I couldn’t help but feel that there was a better solution.
Carlie made a comment on Sunday morning that would forever change our lives. It was conversational, but it certainly wasn’t a profound statement. “Hey Ronnie, this is how you’re going to hang up your tool belt forever…” That’s a kind of comment. She innocently stated that she would love to see a website that sold baby gear while she was lying on her bed with her iPad.
The This is the Moment It Changed My Life Forever…
Instantly, I got on my computer to search for a business similar to the one Carlie mentioned earlier. To my surprise, there wasn’t. This was the moment that changed everything in my life and set me on the path that led to where I am today.
Within three hours, I had borrowed money from family members and found a web designer. The wireframe was the blueprint of how I wanted my new website built. This was my first time overspending on my business. I accepted a $35,000 contract to build my site with a web design company I had met just hours earlier.
Bambino brands was created and I set a strict deadline that it should launch on August 15. Everything I did was focused towards that date. I searched for suppliers, purchased a warehouse and sorting tables.
The launch went very smoothly and that date came quickly. My first week, I made over $10,000 in gross revenue! I thought I was done and took the first step toward achieving my dreams.
I didn’t know that all the products I just sold would soon be coming to my warehouse. This caused a lot of problems. Not only did I need to find new brands/suppliers for the campaigns that barely lasted one week on the website sales, but I also had to pack all orders.
I was in hustle mode. I concentrated my efforts on growing my company for the next 12 month. I had a lot of experience with Facebook. I was able to build a high-engagement business page and run ads that cost me a lot. I didn’t know what I was doing. I only knew that money was necessary to make money. I was spending stupidly! I started spending too much to acquire customers. I needed help.
I had big dreams, worked hard, and believed that I could accomplish anything. I began to think about how I could get Bambino Brands bought and set out to create a plan that would get me in front of the big dogs. This was the obvious conclusion. The Business piqued interest at the largest flash sales website in Australia so we started talking and chatting about the possibilities of an acquisition.

An Acquisition Was Imminent
A memorandum of information was prepared and I presented in the hope of being acquired and receiving the best steroid for my business. It would be an understatement to say that the meeting went poorly. Within minutes, I lost interest from the only person who had shown me their support.
On my return trip, I discovered that a new competitor had been launched. It was backed by serious investments and managed by an experienced team in the industry. I was done. The The stress, the work load, and the potential for disappointment.
The It was too much debt and it was time to let go. $120,000 in debt, with substantial money owed suppliers. I wasn’t going to bankrupt these guys and then leave them hanging. They trusted me, an unknown, with my obligations, and they had to repay me.
I Was Done…
It was a difficult task, but I knew it would be possible. I began looking for credit cards to make sure that some of the loans were repaid. You should look for one that has long interest-free periods, low monthly payments, and is as inexpensive as possible. This worked well for me, even though the limits were very small. It allowed me to get on top of my debts.
Good for my suppliers but bad for me credit. I was short of money and couldn’t make the minimum repayments on these credit cards. I was hit with high interest as soon as I missed a payment. I was now facing serious financial problems…this time from big banks.
I started receiving calls from debt collection agencies as well as lawyers. Incessantly, I was being hounded. “no caller id” All times of the day, and all nights. The Stress was always high, but my belief remained firm…I wouldn’t go bankrupt.
The next step in my journey was found. It would allow me to spend more time and I could figure out how to repay all the money. I began the “credit card shuffle”I can go from an interest-free period to an interest-free period by sometimes purchasing up to 6 months extra time to pay my debts.
I Had Found Belief Again
Suhail was someone I had known for several months and had offered to help me explore the internet. Flippa offered us a website for a bargain price and we were able to purchase it. Wow!-The opening experience was… Building websites cheaply for people who don’t have the money. People who thought the world would pay them almost nothing. This business venture will fail again.
One day, while scrolling through Facebook, I noticed a new business. Teespring was printing T-shirts on demand. People were making incredible amounts of cash. Teespring would pay you once a month if you come up with an original phrase, post ads on Facebook, and we’d be paid. “campaign” The war was over.
The It was worth the effort! I purchased a course, and learned how to run profitable ads on Facebook. The I was amazed at the amount of money people were making. It was far more than I’ve ever seen, and I wanted to make it my goal.
The Moment it all changed…The Moment I Made $1,000 from $100
It took me three weeks to get a campaign going. It targeted a particular law in Australia that was controversial and was deemed unjust by a passionate group. I had a solid four-word phrase and added a skull from the internet. Within hours, I had my first sale.
My first Teespring campaign sold 125 units at a cost of $100. I just made $1,000 from a shirt that I hadn’t touched, didn’t print or package, and didn’t fulfil. The design was redone (by a designer), and the next campaign sold 365 for about $500. In less than a week, I had just made $3000 more. The same results were again achieved.I. WAS. HOOKED.
Three Weeks Later: $300,000.
It was exciting. It was finally possible to pay off all my debt. I began to pay down credit card debt collectors one at a time and found new winning phrases.
Then things went insane.
We were fortunate to have found age campaigns. They were simple designs “Built to Last – Made in 1963 – Limited Edition”. We launched a few designs, and the next day we woke up to see them. Each of us had just made $1000 while we slept, having each profited approximately $200. I designed the other 25 years quickly, launched the ads, and went to bed to see that each of them had done an identical thing to the previous night’s earnings.
We had made $1000 worth of 5 shirts in just one night. We made $6,000 on 30 shirts…IN ONE NIGHT. We made more than $300,000. In just three weeks. We had completely maxed out all credit cards paying for the ad spend, however, this time we had money coming in that was going to go a long way to help pay back my debt collectors, suppliers & lawyers. We spent approximately $100,000 on ads out of the $300,000.
We couldn’t believe the amount of money that was being transferred to our accounts. Teespring couldn’t pay more than $10,000 increments, for whatever reason. Our $43,000 payout would have been $10,000, $10,000 and $10,000 respectively. We didn’t mind. I still recall hearing Suhail’s laugh from the back of his store in the dungeon.
It smelled like rats and lollies… but it was all part of the joy we were experiencing. We were soon on our way.

I was finally free from debt
This was our first purple spot. The next was 6 weeks later, when everything was translated into German and we started running campaigns on Fabrily. We had more than $100,000 in profit within a matter of 10 days. The It was crazy how much money was flooding into our PayPal accounts. The The feeling of relief when I was able to pay all my debts was one the most incredible feelings in my entire life. The The heaviest weight I had ever carried was now off my shoulders.

That was our first 6 months in Print on Demand selling and since then we have built multiple 6 & 7 figure businesses, flown around the world speaking at conferences, meeting friends we had connected with online, masterminding and so much other fun stuff in the ecommerce world.
Teespring had 2 years of success, with over 130,000 shirts sold, so I began to look for other products we could sell. Even though it was early, I started to hear whispers of a platform that allowed us print on demand. Jewelry. I looked around and found ShineOn, a brand new company. Jewelry.
My surprise was overwhelming. We were able create amazing 3d designs, which we then cast in sterling. The Margins were enormous, selling silver for over $50 and gold for over $100 in some cases. I was theirs and I began to see more designs on this platform, as well as testing and scaling.
I found a system that worked, and it spells out the word. “L.O.V.E” I used different elements from a particular niche to scale it across as many people as possible. Although it was more difficult than you would think, my creative juices were flowing. I also knew how much I could get out of being creative than other marketers.
This was the beginning of a relationship that I love with the company. I’ve been selling jewelry with them since 2016, and have experienced all the changes that come with the industry.
It’s All Sunshine & Rainbows…Until You Need to Weather Storms
The past seven years have seen many highs as well as lows. There has been extreme success and very difficult periods. Both of these situations presented their own challenges. Seven years later, we have learned many lessons.-Time marketing with all the freedom that comes with it
I have been blessed to be able to raise my children from home. I saw them grow from the moment they arrived, crawling through my legs, taking their first steps. I loved their cuddles and their laughter as they went about their day.
The My reasons I joined ecom so many years ago is because I was following my lead. “Why”. To this day, that belief is strong and I continue to believe in a better tomorrow. Three days after the USA election, our accounts were returned, without explanation or any other reason.
We were very busy. We referenced all the quotes we’d created (I give you this spreadsheet to use in the course), over the two month period. They were also designed while we were busy. “offline” It was easy to hit the ground running. We had three incredible campaigns in just 3 weeks. I share one of them with you in my course. It is a viral product that is still selling, so you can see exactly what it does. Then it was game over.
