Kyle Boggeman – Method of Calisthenics – Core Concepts
About
Learn the fundamental principles behind my training method. These “core concepts” provide the scientific and conceptual framework for understanding efficient, safe, sustainable, and effective calisthenics training with the goal of health, fitness, and aesthetics. This method is the logical conclusion of the integration of several lines of research and over a decade of professional experience. This 40 minute course contains nine video lectures, including an introduction, conclusion, and FAQ section. Core concepts is the FIRST course in a two course series that teaches my entire training methodology. Core concepts is NOT a programming course. Applications of these concepts will be covered in a future “Applications” course, which will cover how to design training programs to meet your goals using these core concepts, and that course will be launched, and sold separately, later this year. Learning outcomes: – Why to prioritize basic calisthenics over skills – The importance of prioritizing body composition – Effects of different rep ranges on muscle growth – What is required to trigger a “growth response” – How it’s possible to train a muscle multiple days in a row – Why exercise selection can make-or-break your training This course is available for 30 days from your chosen start date. If you have any questions about whether this course is relevant to you, please reach out. All sales will be non-refundable. I hope you enjoy “Core Concepts” !
Kyle Boggeman – Method of Calisthenics: Core Concepts
A Foundational System for Intelligent Bodyweight Movement
Strength without awareness is fleeting. Precision without principle is hollow.
In Method of Calisthenics: Core Concepts, Kyle Boggeman lays the groundwork for a new approach to calisthenics—one rooted not in endless sets or superficial performance, but in structure, breath, rhythm, and control. This is a course that strips away the noise and rebuilds your movement from the inside out.
Through deep understanding of body mechanics, neural activation, and holistic movement design, you’ll discover how to generate sustainable, adaptable, and deeply functional strength—with nothing more than your own body.
What You’ll Discover Inside
This course isn’t about memorizing exercises. It’s about cultivating principles that support intuitive, integrated movement across all calisthenics domains.
Key Learning Modules:
Postural Foundations & Alignment Integrity
Understand how to create lasting strength through proper stacking of joints, activation of stabilizers, and efficient body line control.
Tension as a Tool, Not a Trap
Learn how to apply and release tension intentionally—building dynamic control, rather than rigidity.
Breath as a Movement Modifier
Use breath to influence nervous system response, muscular output, and movement flow across both static and dynamic patterns.
Internal Cueing & Sensory Intelligence
Refine your ability to feel, adjust, and self-correct—shifting from externally focused repetition to deeply embodied engagement.
Bridging Isolated Practice to Global Strength
Move beyond compartmentalized training. Build a strength system that translates across vertical pulls, levers, handstands, and foundational pushes.
These principles serve as a map for navigating calisthenics not as a trend—but as a long-term movement practice rooted in physical literacy.
Who Should Study Core Concepts?
-
Beginners seeking a principle-first pathway into calisthenics
-
Intermediate athletes who’ve plateaued due to poor mechanics or disconnected movement
-
Coaches aiming to teach with clarity, precision, and anatomical nuance
-
Yoga, mobility, or martial arts practitioners looking to integrate calisthenics as structural support
-
Movers who want more from their training than reps and reps alone
If you’ve ever sensed that strength can be more subtle—and more intelligent—this course is your entry point.
